Sandblasting is a technique of blasting fine corundum sand, which can be used to remove the desired layer of the sandblasted object.
Until now, sandblasting was mainly used for cleaning structures and making tombstones. The improvement of this technology, the use of cutting plotters and, above all, thanks to new light-sensitive sandblasting films, opened up new and wide possibilities of use for this technique, especially in the field of advertising.
Compared to engraving and laser technologies, sandblasting is affordable, allows the description of uneven objects, is not dimensionally limited, and can be applied to materials that other technologies would not be able to cope with. Due to the photo process of film preparation, it is possible to develop and sandblast lines with a thickness of approx. 0.4 mm and raster motifs.
The sandblasting technique can be used on glass, stone, metal, wood, acrylic materials and many other materials. It is suitable, for example, for describing advertising glasses and bottles, utility glass, sports cups and plaques, describing metal advertising objects, mirrors, metal labels, glass fillings, screens, etc.
